United Arab Emirates residence visa holders can now apply for a re-entry permit if they are outside UAE for more than six months. The new Return Permit for Residents Outside UAE is announced by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP).

Details of Re-entry Permit

The residents should state their reason for staying outside UAE and must submit proof to get approval for the Return Permit for Residents Outside UAE.

The approval process takes up to 5 days. Applicants can re-enter the country only after getting an approval email from the Authority (GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF RESIDENCY AND FOREIGNERS AFFAIRS-DUBAI)
The Return Permit for Residents Outside UAE is valid for 30 days after the applicant receives the approval mail from Authority (GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF RESIDENCY AND FOREIGNERS AFFAIRS-DUBAI)
